Product information "Zard Speed Twin / Thruxton 1200 Conicial exhaust"
Zard 2-2 Slip on stainless steel exhaust for Triumph Speed Twin & Thruxton 1200 with E-number / road approval (does not have to be registered).
Attention for Thruxton 1200 / R (EU 4 models): The exhaust is not homologated for these models (will then be delivered with E-number for the SpeedTwin EU4).
Very high-quality and well-manufactured stainless steel silencer, in a classic, conical shape. The rear silencers are in contrast to the originals, which are quite bulky and disturbing to the eye, beautifully slim and close-fitting to the motorbike.
For those who prefer something more minimalist and sporty, we recommend the ZARD GP exhaust.
The exhaust also delivers slightly more power than the standard version (see pictures for power curve). However, if you really want more power, we recommend installing our performance kits.
The sound is already audibly better and throatier with the exhaust, but in our ears it does not have the desired AHA effect that you would hope for. Sound video see below.
We recommend people who like it a little throatier and louder to order our additional Zard Racing DB-Killer (see accessories article in this description without road approval). With the racing DB-killers, the bike then has the throaty and beautifully muffled bass sound that a 1200cc engine should have! The advantage here is that a DB-killer is installed, the bike is not too loud and it looks as if everything is original.
In order to be able to remove the original DB-Killer from the exhaust system, a welding point that is difficult to access must be drilled out and milled away (takes a little more than half an hour). If you want to have this done by us, you must order the additional item DB-Killer removal Zard exhaust CB11514 (see accessories in this description).
If the sound is still not enough for you, you will then need to fit the X-pipe (cat replacement pipe) (see accessories in this description).
The exhaust system is available either with E-number or as a racing version (without E-number). The end caps are also available in stainless steel (same design as the rest of the exhaust) or carbon fibre (surcharge).
For Swiss customers, the exhausts can be supplied with a declaration of suitability.
