Steel-tube cardan shaft guard for BMW R12 & BMW R nineT


A cardan shaft guard suitable for all BMW R nineT and R12 models. 
This robust guard fulfils two purposes on the bike. It protects the cardan shaft from serious damage in the event of a fall and also looks really cool.
It’s a particularly good fit for off-road scrambler models such as the R12 G/S.

It blends in particularly well with the bike’s overall look if crash bars in a similar style are fitted to your BMW – you’ll find crash bars in the same style amongst the accessories listed below this product description. 

Fitting

Fitting the guard is very straightforward. All necessary fitting materials are included in the delivery. You can view the fitting instructions in advance under the ‘Downloads’ section in this description. 

PLEASE NOTE – may not be compatible with a side-mounted number plate holder.

Unit Garage engine protection bars for all BMW R9T models from 2017 (Euro 4) and R12 models (please select from the drop-down menu). The Heavy Duty brackets are slightly thicker than most other brackets. The cylinder head is covered even more by a second strut. This offers even better protection and looks a little more martial.The brackets are made from 25 mm tubing and have a black powder coating. They therefore look like the frame of the R nineT. A particularly practical feature of the Heavy Duty bars is that they do not have to be removed for most servicing work. In addition, the bolts holding the engine do not have to be loosened to fit the brackets (which many other manufacturers have done by loosening these bolts). All assembly materials and assembly instructions are included in the scope of delivery.
