Unit Garage extension for the original handguards of the BMW R12 G/S


The hand protector extensions for the G/S provide more wind and water protection as well as significantly warmer hands in winter or in poor conditions.

The extensions also look cool and emphasise the off-road look of the R12.
The parts look particularly good in combination with the Unit Garage windscreen and the headlight protector made of the same material.
You can find both parts in the accessories section under this product description.

The extensions are supplied with a mounting kit and are fitted directly into the original handguards.

BMW R12 G/S Scheinwerfer Schutz Scheibe in verschiedenen Farben  Die Unit Garage Schutzscheibe ist der optimale Begleiter, für den Off Road Einsatz, wenn du den teuren LED Scheinwerfer deiner Maschine schützen möchtest, aber die ein Gitter nicht gefällt.Die Scheibe ist aus Stoßfestem Kunststoff.    Optik:  Optisch setzt die Scheibe ein kleines Highlight an der G/S und unterstreicht den Off Road Charakter der Maschine.  Sieht besonders cool in Kombination mit den Hand Protektor Erweiterungen aus, wenn man diese in der gleichen Farbe nimmt. Besonders das Gelb unterstreicht die Retro Style. Außerdem gibt es auch noch ein Zusatz Windschild in den glichen Farben, das optisch perfekt zu dem Stiel passt. Die Handguard Erweiterungen Sowie das Windschild findet ihr unter den Zubehörartikeln dieser Produktbeschreibung.   Montage:  Im Lieferumfang sind zwei Halter mit bei, um die Scheibe am original Windschild der G/S montieren zu können. Zur Reinigung des Scheinwerfers, kann die Schutzscheibe einfach mit 3 Schrauben abgenommen werden.

Flyscreen / windscreen extension for the BMW R12 G/S original windscreens The plastic windscreen extension from Unit Garage is made of high-quality, durable plastic. Comfort / touring suitabilityThe windscreen is designed for greater comfort on long journeys and motorway journeys. The shield very clearly takes wind pressure off the head & chest. Thanks to the integrated height adjustment, the windscreen can be adjusted in just a few simple steps (see GIFF, view large images). Optics To be honest, the higher windscreen also looks good on the G/S. The slightly higher windscreen emphasises the R12's Enduro / Dakar style.We think it looks particularly cool together with the plastic headlight disc & the handguard extensions, which are made from the same material.You can find both items under the accessories below the product description. Fitting The extension fits both original windscreens of the G/S :- Standard windscreen, height-adjustable- Rally windscreen (only in the high position) It is essential that the original BMW sat nav holder (item number for BMW: 77315B48F56) is fitted for installation. Approval Currently not yet available. Is in preparation. This is expected to be submitted at the end of February 2026.
