Get rid of that big plastic box on the engine – with this kit, you can remove the activated carbon system from your Bobber or Speedmaster.
Since 2026 (Euro 5+ models), both the Bobber and the Speedmaster 1200 have been fitted with an activated carbon filter. It’s the black box located at the rear of the engine, towards the swingarm.Â
What does a filter like this do? It’s designed to filter the petrol vapours (which are produced in the tank) so that they don’t end up in the environment unfiltered......... Who needs something like this? Unfortunately, it’s yet another part that nobody really needs – just another plastic box on the engine that makes the bike look very cluttered and over-accessorised.Â
With this kit, you can easily remove the filter without triggering any error messages or the like.Â
It doesn’t affect the emissions figures, so it’s very, very unlikely anyone will ever notice.Â
The kit contains all the necessary materials as well as detailed, step-by-step fitting instructions for removing the canister.Â
