LSL steering damper for Thruxton 1200 and R. Also fits the StreetTwin and Cup (on these two models, however, the lamp holder must be slightly notched so that the Hallt clamp fits into the standpipe). The variant for the Thruxton 1200 must be selected for these two motorbikes.
While the new Triumph Thruxton models boast the steering geometry of a super sports bike, they also exhibit the kick-back behaviour of a sensitive racing machine. On the race track, an effective steering damper is typically installed here, and this is also the case with the new Thruxton 1200. LSL has the right steering damper element for this in its programme. The damper is adjusted to the needs of road traffic. It effectively prevents the handlebars from bouncing when crossing over bumps and keeps the steering consistently on track. The damping effect is designed to be progressive and can be adjusted in seven stages. A highly polished damper rod works backlash-free over a 120 mm travel and with extremely low breakaway torque. The aluminium housing is held in place by a CNC-machined clamp and is bolted in place using high-quality ball joints.
