Dakar brake caliper guards by Classicbike-Raisch for the BMW R12 G/S – kit

The front brake calipers on the R12 G/S are left quite exposed – stones, branches and off-road debris hit them head-on.
Our Dakar brake caliper guards put an end to that. The covers fit snugly around the brake calipers, ensuring everything is properly protected without looking bulky. The ventilation slots and the cut-out RAISCH logo give the brakes a really rugged rally look.
Awesome design & genuine protection for off-road use – that’s exactly how it should look on a G/S.

So the protection serves two purposes at once:
- Protection against stone chips, etc.
- The angular, edgy protectors emphasise the G/S’s rugged off-road look – especially when combined with other metal parts from our Dakar range.

Materials & Manufacture

The brake caliper guard is entirely made in Germany. The parts are manufactured from 2 mm stainless steel, then welded, the weld seams ground smooth and finally powder-coated in black.

2 mm stainless steel is exactly the right thickness: sturdy enough to withstand a heavy stone impact without adding unnecessary weight to the fork.

Fitting

Fitting is quick and easy. All the necessary fitting materials and sleeves, as well as fitting instructions, are included in the scope of delivery.
