Material & production:
The underride guard is completely made in Germany. It is laser-cut + edged by one of our partner companies in the region & then welded in-house (as can be seen in the photos, this ensures a very nice weld seam).The precise manufacturing guarantees a very good fit, which makes installation easier. The cover is made of 3 mm aluminum. This is the perfect material thickness that offers sufficient protection without being unnecessarily heavy. In addition, aluminum is weather-resistant and cannot rust.
Protection & design:
The engine guard not only looks beefy and stylish, it also really protects your engine, frame and all other important parts in the lower area of the motorcycle should you ever touch down with your bike. It is definitely more than just a stone guard! A proper scrambler definitely needs solid engine protection and that's exactly what you get with the Dakar Protector.
Installation:
Installation is quick and easy. All the necessary mounting materials are included in the scope of delivery.

- Black powder-coated: The mudguard is powder-coated black after welding, giving it a beautiful, deep black finish.- Raw aluminum: The aluminum remains untreated and the beautiful weld seams remain fully visible. The engine guard looks particularly good in combination with our ripped radiator grille / fork guard / chain guard / retro exhaust cover. Alcatraz Clip on Lampengitter - mIt einem Klick / Handgriff am Scheinwerfer befestigt und auch wieder abgenommen.Das praktische bei dem Clip on Lampengitter ist, dass dieses innerhalb von einer Sekunde angebaut ist. An absolute must on any real off road & scrambler machine. The original protectors in the rough plastic surface just look cheap compared to our high quality aluminum protectors. The plates are provided with light slotted holes to get a perfect alignment on any machine. All necessary mounting hardware is included.
The original fender is not required if you remove the original plastic protectors.
Our recommendation is to install a high fender, because it fits much better to a Scrambler. Suitable fenders can be found in the accessories section of this description.
