Chain kit 1200cc engine - steel

Complete chain set for all water-cooled Triumph models with 1200cc engines (525 chain) - steel colours.

See table below for standard motorbike ratios.
Please note that not all gear ratios are possible or make sense. See special model descriptions below.

ATTENTION: For Euro 5 vehicles, the control unit must be reprogrammed if the gear ratio is changed. This requires the OBD Bluetotth adapter + the Tune ECU programme (the Bluetotth adapters can be found under the accessories in this description).
Please check beforehand in the Tune ECU programme whether it is possible to set your desired gear ratio (not every gear ratio is possible on all models)

Enuma 525 chain set

The kit includes a very high-quality Enuma chain, a chainring (either a black steel chainring or a stealth chainring in gold / black) and a chain sprocket.
A little further down in the description, you have to add your desired sprockets to the set.
A rivet lock is also included in the scope of delivery.

Tip:
- To be on the safe side, we recommend ordering a new sprocket locking plate with the chain set (see accessories article in this description).
- You will also find beautiful black chainring nuts in the accessories for those who want a completely black finish.
- For easier assembly, we recommend ordering the Enuma screw lock as well

Standard gear ratio

Bobber / Bobber Black / Speedmaster:
Tip: The standard gear ratio of the Bobber / Speedmaster is clearly too long, so we recommend using a larger 40 or 42 tooth chainring to shorten the gear ratio of the bike. This gives the bike a much more powerful bottom end, but still does not lose any top speed and the constant jerking at low speeds becomes a little smoother.
A larger chainring than 42 teeth is not provided in this kit for the Bobber. If you would still like to have this, please contact us and we will put together a customised kit for you.
Attention:
If you have installed a side licence plate holder (e.g. the Wunderkind from our range), you will need a longer chain.
If you choose a 42 mm chainring, you also need a longer chain.
An even longer chain is required when using a side licence plate holder in conjunction with a 42 tooth chainring
(therefore please select the appropriate model).

Bonneville T120:
Tip: The standard gear ratio of the Bonneville T120 is clearly too long, so we recommend using a larger 40 or 42 tooth chainring to shorten the gear ratio of the bike. This makes the bike push harder at the bottom, but still doesn't lose any top speed and the constant jerking at low speeds becomes a little smoother.
A larger chainring than 42 teeth is not provided in this kit for the Bobber. If you would still like to have this, please contact us and we will put together a customised kit for you.
Attention:
Triumph has changed the swingarm length of the Bonneville T120 over the years (the newer models have a slightly longer swingarm). So that we can pack you the right chain for the chain kit, you must select the correct model in the selection above. You can see how to check/determine which swingarm your Bonneville has in the product photos.

Thruxton 1200 / Speed Twin:
Tip: In our opinion, the Thruxton & Speed Twin models have a pretty suitable gear ratio ex works. However, if you want to go even shorter, we recommend the 44 tooth chainring.
For a slightly longer ratio, we would go for a 40 tooth chainring and / or a 17 tooth sprocket.

Scrambler 1200:
Tip: In our opinion, the Scrambler 1200 models have a suitable gear ratio ex works. But if you want it even shorter, for even more punch off-road, we recommend the 46 tooth chainring.
For a slightly longer ratio, we would go for a 42 tooth chainring and / or a 17 tooth sprocket.

About the Enuma chain:
Enuma chain 525 MVXZ2, the absolute highest quality chain on the market! There is cheaper, but nothing better. Thanks to the Quadra-X rings, this chain offers a significantly improved service life compared to the O-ring chains used by the motorbike manufacturer and the X-ring chains from other accessory manufacturers. They prevent the ingress of dirt and moisture in the best possible way and provide additional grease chambers.
Caution! A screw lock must be ordered separately (see accessories). A rivet lock is included in the scope of delivery.
