BMW R nineT – R12 nineT – R 12 G/S black anodising


As many people aren’t keen on the gold forks on the R9T, we’ve been looking for a way to give them a proper black finish without having to buy a complete set of Öhlins forks. We offer a very high-quality black anodised finish for the fork tubes, which gives the motorbike a completely different look. 

To do this, the fork tubes – once removed, dismantled and cleaned – must be sent to us. Alternatively, you can choose the option that includes fitting; in that case, simply send us the removed fork, and we’ll dismantle it here on site and reassemble it after the anodising process. Included with better oil, which improves the fork’s responsiveness.

The anodising and dispatch process takes between 6 and 10 weeks. If that’s too long for you, you can opt for new fork tubes, which we have in stock (see similar items in this description).

Please note: blackening of the fork legs is not included (see ‘Accessories’ for additional items).


Important recommendation:
We always recommend fitting new oil seals and dust caps to ensure a tight seal. 
Without new caps, we cannot guarantee that the fork is 100% leak-proof.

Note on fitting costs: 

If you have us blacken the fork legs and fork tubes, the fitting costs will only be charged once.

DLC coating in black for fork stanchions. Would you like a black fork? Is it not enough for you that the outer tubes and fork legs are black? No problem, you can also have the inner stanchions of your fork DLC coated by us. Either you send us your dismantled tubes and we send them back to you coated or you send us your complete fork, we dismantle it and then send it back to you newly coated and reassembled. Please contact us beforehand so that we can make you an offer for the labour time. Important information:On some fork tubes of conventional telescopic forks (not USD forks)have fixed plastic inserts at the lower end. If this is the case, the inserts must be removed by us and reinserted + flanged after coating.and then re-inserted + crimped after coating. Classicbike-Raisch tip: If you would like to have it All Black: We also offer other coatings for the original fork (such as black powder coating of fork legs / black anodising of fork outer tubes). Coating takes approx. 2 - 4 weeks. The price is for a PAIR.

If you don't like the original silver fork feet on your R9T, you can simply have them coated black by us. Simply send the disassembled fork to us and you will get it back with black fork feet. If you can't dismantle the fork yourself, you can simply send the whole fork to us and we will do the work for you in our suspension department. If you choose the option with assembly, you simply send us the disassembled fork, we disassemble it here on site and then reassemble it after coating. Directly with better oil, which slightly improves the response behaviour of the fork. It takes about 4 - 6 weeks until you have the part back. We always finish the parts in black silk matt as standard. Several other colours are of course also possible on request. The price is for the coating of both fork legs. Looks particularly good in combination with black fork tubes. Important recommendation:We recommend always fitting new oil seals and dust caps to ensure tightness.
