BLACK BLACK BLACK. Like so many parts on the R12 models, the triple clamps also have the unsightly die-cast surface look, which doesn't look particularly classy! To give the triple clamps a beautiful & smooth surface in black, we also offer powder coating in black (other colours only on request and with exact RAL colour specification!)

The following can be made black: upper & lower triple clamp. We also recommend powder coating the lamp holder and the steering damper holder in black (both parts can be found under accessories in this description).

Additional work required:
In order to be able to coat the upper triple clamp, the ignition lock must be drilled out and replaced with shear bolts.
If you don't want to do this work yourself, we will be happy to do it for you. To do this, order the two accessory items (below the product description).


It will take about 4 - 6 weeks until you have the part back.

Steering wheel lock installation & removal - R12 CB12956 / RS
If you want to have the upper triple clamp of your BMW R12 coated, it is necessary to remove and refit the lock. This is quite time-consuming, as the shear bolts have to be drilled out. A set of new shear bolts must also be ordered (see accessories article below this description). If you don't want to do this work yourself, simply order the service (this article here) + 2 shear bolts and we will do the work for you. All you have to do is send us your triple clamp and we will take care of the rest.
