Dr Jekyll & Mr Hyde Exhaust System (TOP) – Legal & suitable for all BMW R nineT models

Dr Jekyll & Mr Hyde– arguably the best-known manufacturer ofvalve-controlled, road-legal motorbike exhaust systems.

What does ‘valve control’ mean?

AllJekill & Hyde systems come with an electronically controlled valve in the rear silencer. This allows you to ride your BMW R9T legally in three different sound modes – from pleasantly quiet to a really lovely, deep, bass-heavy sound.
And yes – the sound is truly exceptional for a road-legal system. We’ve heard it live on many bikes – simply fantastic.

Black or silver

The exhaust and the tailpipe end cap are available in black or silver. The manifold section is always silver (though it can also be supplied in black on special order from us).

Only a few left in stock

Unfortunately, the top-mounted version of the exhaust system is being discontinued by Jekill – we have the last remaining systems in stock.

Fitting

The exhaust system is supplied with fitting instructions. Fitting isn’t exactly a walk in the park, but a reasonably experienced mechanic can get it done in a few hours.

Dr Jekyll & Mr Hyde stipulates that the systemsmay only be fitted in specialist workshops to ensure correct functioning and legal compliance.

PLEASE NOTE: Exhaust brackets

Models that do not come with a top-mounted exhaust as standard require an additional exhaust bracket, and the original passenger rear frame must be removed.
You can find a suitable bracket amongst the accessories listed in this product description.

This Unit Garage exhaust bracket allows you to mount your exhaust when you want to remove the pillion frame. Not everyone rides their nineT as a pair. It makes sense to remove the pillion frame for visual reasons. Since the holder for the original exhaust is integrated into the frame, this holder is needed here. The holder is also needed to mount the top-mounted Unit Garage exhaust on the Scrambler if no pillion frame is installed.
