Complete Dakar look & accessories The larger tank significantly changes the proportions of the R12 G/S and provides the typical, beefy rally look. In combination with other retro and Dakar add-on parts such as the lamp mask, mudguards, exhaust or fork protectors, a harmonious overall look is created - very close to the classic desert bikes of days gone by. Plug & Play / BMW paintwork The tank is designed in such a way that it can be fitted completely plug & play.No modifications to original BMW parts are necessary. All the necessary brackets are included in the kit and installation is simple and fully reversible. Thanks to the enclosed video instructions, the conversion can be completed in just a few hours - without any tinkering or improvisation. You can order the tank in various BMW factory colours / in RAW, i.e. unpainted / or in Dakar special paintwork. TÜV / registration The tank is supplied with TÜV papers. So you can simply have it registered by your trusted TÜV inspector and be completely legal on the road. Stylish look and versatility The distinctive shape of the tank pays homage to the classic design, but it also fits perfectly with modern conversions. Whether you want to transform your R nineT into a classic roadster, a sporty racer or a rugged scrambler, this tank provides the ideal basis. The impressive results speak for themselves (pictures say more than words here). Improved seating position and driving experience In addition to the visual enhancement, the tank also improves the driving experience of your BMW. The original tank of the R nineT models is quite long, which means that the distance to the handlebars is too great. Many drivers report a limited feeling for the front wheel and less confidence in the driving dynamics, as well as back pain due to the seating position. With the shorter /7 tank, such problems are a thing of the past! We have already converted a few R9T motorcycles in our workshop to the /7 tank. All of our employees who have test-driven a converted machine were thrilled with the new driving experience and the more comfortable (no longer forward-leaning) seating position. Easy assembly with instructions Installing the tank is straightforward and, thanks to the included assembly video, even beginners can do it. The original components such as the fuel pump, fuel filter and fuel cap are reused. However, for an even more stylish overall look, we recommend installing a Monza fuel cap, which perfectly rounds off the design. Scope of delivery: Tank incl. brackets and mounting materials High-quality leather bag (available in black or brown) for an aesthetic connection between tank and seat Compatible with all original and aftermarket seats for BMW R nineT models Optional accessories Side cover set: Fills the gap between the frame and tank, as the /7 tank is shallower than the original tank. Intake snorkel cover: The original cover of the intake snorkel can no longer be used with this tank.
