Product information "Timing belt drive kit - LC"
Timing belt drive kit for the water-cooled Triumph Modern Classic models.
The toothed belt drive is primarily designed to reduce the power loss from the gearbox output to the rear wheel.
In addition, the usual maintenance work associated with a chain is a thing of the past. No more chain tensioning, no more chain lubrication and, above all, no more removing chain grease/dirt from the motorbike.
And the best thing about the belt drive is that the load changes are significantly less / more harmonious and there is MUCH less constant jerking, which is already quite strong on our beloved Twins from the factory.
The transmission ratio of your motorbike remains the same after the conversion.
Caution:
- The kit is not a plug & play kit that is very easy to fit. Please take a look at the installation instructions before buying (you can find them in the downloads section of the product description).
- The original chain guard can no longer be used (except on the Bobber / Speedmaster, where the original chain guard still fits).
You can find a suitable guard in the accessories in this description. Or you can ride without, which of course looks very cool with a belt. - The kit is registration-free in Germany (does NOT have to be registered), as the transmission ratio is NOT changed. A confirmation of this can be issued on request.
