Dr. Jekill & Mr. Hyde exhaust system with valve control – road-legal and suitable for the Triumph Bobber



Dr Jekyll & Mr Hyde – arguably the best-known manufacturer of flap-controlled motorcycle exhaust systems with road approval / E-mark (no need for separate registration – just fit it, ride it and be happy).

Please note regarding Euro 5+ models:
The exhaust system is officially approved only for the 2025 model year. However, it also fits the brand-new model from the 2026 model year onwards. 
For more information on exactly what this means, just give us a call and we’ll fill you in.
In addition, an extra OBD adapter is required for the 2026 model (see accessories listed in this description) 


What does valve control mean?

AllJekill & Hyde systemscome with an electronically controlled valve in the rear silencer. This allows you to ride your Triumph Bobber legally in three different sound modes – from pleasantly quiet to really nice and deep with plenty of bass.
And yes – the sound is truly exceptional for a legal exhaust system. We’ve heard it live on many bikes – simply fantastic.

Due to the electronic exhaust valve control system, fitting is slightly more complex than with a conventional exhaust. 
In the download section of this product description, you’ll find the fitting instructions as a PDF. This will give you an overview so you can decide whether you feel confident enough to fit it yourself.

Is the sound with the flap open still not loud enough for you? 
Then an additional X-pipe (catalyse converter replacement) is just the thing for you. This makes the bike a fair bit louder and gives it a much more powerful sound (not legal). The great thing is, though, that the motorbike is still very quiet with the flap closed, so you won’t get into any trouble.

These X-Pipes replace the original Cat-Box / front silencer, which provides a much more pithy sound. In combination with an additional open exhaust system you get a really pithy, dull but also loud sound. That's exactly how a 2 cylinder must sound!In addition, there is a weight saving of 1.7 kg compared to the standard catbox. If the X-Pipe is not only about the more beautiful and louder sound, but also about noticeably more power, we advise you to use one of our power kits, in which the X-Pipe is included. Then the whole thing brings also a strongly noticeable performance gain. Click here for our performance kits. The original veneer can be used again, so that the X-Pipe is not optically noticeable.  Do NOT fit to Thruxton TFC!

These X-Pipes replace the original Kat-Box / front silencer, which provides a much more pithy sound. In combination with an additional open exhaust system, this results in a really throaty, dull but also loud sound.Also in combination with the original exhaust system you get a much more pithy sound.This is exactly how a 2 cylinder must sound!In addition, the original manifold connecting pipes that go from the cat box to the rear silencers are replaced.Additionally, the X-Pipe and the new manifold pipes result in a significant weight reduction.If you are not only interested in a more beautiful and louder sound, but also in noticeably more power, we advise you to install a large air filter cover and a sports air filter. In addition to that, you have to install a Power Commander and tune the bike on a test bench.The original paneling can be reinstalled, so that the X-Pipe doesn't attract attention.The installation of the X-Pipe / removal of the cat is not legal.

OBD2 adapter cable, 16-pin to 6-pin (EU5 / EU5+) Do you want to keep full control of your on-board electronics despite the new Euro 5+ standard? This adapter plug brings together what belongs together and adapts the classic 16-pin OBD2 plug to the new, red, 6-pin diagnostic port – allowing you to access your bike’s data using our OBD Bluetooth dongle + Tune ECU.
