Wilber shock absorber with rebound adjustment for Triumph Bobber
The Triumph Bobber models are significantly too stiff as standard and have a shock absorber that responds very poorly.
This, combined with the very short suspension travel inherent to the design, results in an uncomfortable ride.
That’s why anyone who rides their Bobber a lot and values comfort should fit a decent shock absorber.
The Wilbers shock absorber is our recommendation for anyone who wants a completely black shock absorber (Nightline).
Otherwise, we recommend the Öhlins (see accessories)
The shock absorber is individually calibrated to your weight and delivered perfectly fitted.
Our production time is approx. 2–3 working days(provided the shock absorber is in stock).
The shock absorbers comewith ABE approvalfor your motorbike (so they do not need to be registered separately with the TÜV).

About the shock absorber
The Wilbers Type 640 Adjust Line shock absorbers are high-quality units featuring an adjustable rebound damping and a shock absorber setup tailored to your weight, intended use and requirements.
The spring preload (which is, of course, pre-set to the correct value) is infinitely adjustable.
The rebound damping can be adjusted in 22 clicks using the dial.
Radial pistons, wet-running guides and Teflon-guided swing bearings ensure a smooth response.
Tailored specifically to you
To ensure the shock absorber is perfectly tailored to you, we need the following details from you (please simply enter them in the comments field at the end of the ordering process)

- Luggage weight
We recommend only taking this into account if you ride with a passenger very regularly. Otherwise, we advise tuning the shock absorber perfectly for solo riding, as a shock absorber can only be optimally adjusted for one weight. - Percentage of riding with a passenger and luggage

RAISCH fork cartridge conversion for various Triumph Modern Classic models.
We completely convert your forks to a valve-controlled system with new fork springs (tuned to the rider’s weight). This transforms the basic standard fork – which operates partly on the old twin-tube system – into a state-of-the-art fork with a fully adjustable cartridge system. Although the Speed Twin Euro 5 models come with an upside-down fork fitted as standard, this does not actually perform very well (see various test reports in motorbike magazines). Unfortunately, the standard fork has a very stiff and sluggish set-up.
With our cartridge conversion, the fork then operates much more smoothly and responsively; the result is a significant improvement in comfort without compromising on sportiness or performance,
Both the rebound and compression damping are fully adjustable. The so-called rebound and compression damping controls the speed at which the fork compresses and extends. This means the fork can be adjusted to suit any condition – from soft to sporty and firm – simply by turning the adjusters a few times, resulting in a completely new riding experience. The adjustment range of the rebound and compression damping can truly be described as wide and effective, which is not actually the case with all forks on the market.
This conversion must be carried out by a specialist workshop with the appropriate expertise and special tools (among other things, a lathe is required for some models). We therefore offer this conversion exclusively as a complete in-house service, including all parts. You send us the two original shock tubes and we’ll return everything fully ready for fitting, complete with new oil seals and special Öhlins oil for cartridge forks.
Note regarding the Bobber / Speedmaster:On these motorbikes, fitting the cartridge extends the fork by 10 mm. This slightly improves your Triumph’s lean angle. If this is important to you, or if you require more ground clearance and lean angle, we recommend our lift kit (available under ‘Accessories’ in this product description).
The price includes fitting of the cartridge at our workshop!

Customised to your weight!
The original shock absorber on the Bobber and Speedmaster is simply far too hard and very uncomfortable (it also has no negative suspension travel). To avoid getting hit in the back with every small bump (which happens very quickly with the sitting position / body posture on the motorbike in conjunction with a bad shock absorber), you need to replace your shock absorber.
The shock absorber is supplied with ABE. It therefore does not have to be registered with the TÜV.

About the shock absorber
The Öhlins shock absorber is a high-quality separating piston damper and not an emulsion damper, as sold by some other manufacturers.The spring preload (which is of course adjusted to your weight) is infinitely adjustable via the thread.The rebound can be individually and very finely adjusted via the rotary wheel (clicks).

Each Öhlins shock absorber is individually adjusted in-house to the rider's needs and weight and fitted with the appropriate setup.We have different spring rates available from Öhlins so that the shock absorber can be perfectly customised for you.
