RAISCH fork cartridge conversion for various Triumph Modern Classic models.
We completely convert your fork to a valve-controlled system with new fork springs (adjusted to the rider's weight). This transforms the simple standard fork, which partly works according to the old two-tube system, into a state-of-the-art fork with a fully adjustable cartridge system. The Speed Twin Euro 5 models are fitted with an upside-down fork ex works, but this does not work very well either (see some test reports in motorcycle magazines). Unfortunately, the standard fork is very tough and stiff.
With our cartridge conversion, the fork works much more smoothly and sensitively, resulting in a great increase in comfort without sacrificing sportiness and performance,
The rebound and compression damping are fully adjustable. The so-called rebound and compression damping is responsible for the rebound and compression speed of the fork. This means that the fork can really be adjusted to all conditions from soft to sporty and firm with just a few turns of the adjusters, resulting in a completely new riding experience. The adjustment range of the rebound and compression damping can really be described as large and effective, which is not really the case with all forks on the market.
This conversion must be carried out by a specialist workshop with the appropriate expertise and special tools (e.g. a lathe is required for some models). For this reason, we only offer this conversion as a complete conversion in-house, including parts. You send us the two original damper tubes and everything is sent back to us ready for installation with new oil seals and special Öhlins oil for cartridge forks.
Note on the Bobber / Speedmaster:On these motorcycles, the fork is lengthened by 10 mm when the cartridge is fitted. This slightly improves the lean angle clearance of your Triumph. If this is important to you or you need more ground clearance and lean angle clearance, we recommend our lift kit (can be found under accessories in this product description).

The covers make the fork look much more massive (because it looks wider), which makes the fork look much higher quality and provides a sustainable better look. In addition, you get a uniform black line on the front of the bike.
To install it, you have to loosen the upper triple clamp and pull it off to the top. This is done in no more than 30 minutes.
The original turn signals, with the retaining clips above the standpipes can not be used further.
For models that still have factory turn signal clamps around the fork, we have extra covers in the program, which are shorter and can be mounted together with the turn signal clamps together. You can find them under the accessories in this description.

CNC-milled black aluminium fork end caps for the forks of your Triumph Modern Classic machine.
The milled fork end caps replace the original silver caps and are easy to fit.
The caps are simply exchanged for the originals in a few minutes. The fork does not need to be removed for installation (it just needs to be relieved of load, e.g. by jacking up the motorcycle or having a second person lift it up over the side stand) and no special tools are required. Installation instructions are included,
The milled caps are manufactured with a very elegant black pearl surface. This means that they are blasted with glass beads before black anodising. This results in a very fine, slightly matt surface that feels very high quality and looks very elegant.The silver accents are then milled afterwards.
Classicbike-Raisch recommendation: Order the plastic tool as well, so that it is very easy to mount the milled caps without scratches and blemishes (see accessories in this description).Note on Bobber & Speedmaster with 47mm forks:To remove the original fork caps on these models, you have to remove the fork bridge, otherwise you cannot access the fork cap with any tool. With our special plastic socket, you can do this easily without dismantling the fork bridge. This saves time and not everyone has a 36mm socket in their toolbox.
Note for Speed Twin 1200 Euro 5:To remove the original fork cap of the Speed Twin 1200, you need a very large nut. Because almost no one has such a tool, a plastic nut is included in the kit. It also includes a plate that makes installation even easier. An absolute must on any real off road & scrambler machine. The original protectors in the rough plastic surface just look cheap compared to our high quality aluminum protectors. The plates are provided with light slotted holes to get a perfect alignment on any machine. All necessary mounting hardware is included.
The original fender is not required if you remove the original plastic protectors.
Our recommendation is to install a high fender, because it fits much better to a Scrambler. Suitable fenders can be found in the accessories section of this description.
In the black version, the protectors are powder coated. In the silver brushed version, the protectors are brushed by hand and then clear anodised. This gives them almost the same surface as the original mudguards.

Öhlins offers beside their world famous upside down fork also a classic telescopic fork to convert bikes like the R9T to a high end fork without too much effort.Another advantage is that the classic style is preserved.
The forks are fully adjustable in spring preload, compression and rebound (more is not possible). The fork is the absolute best you can fit into your R9T.

To do this, the dismantled, disassembled & cleaned fork tubes must be sent to us. The original shock absorber on the Bobber and Speedmaster is simply far too hard and very uncomfortable (it also has no negative suspension travel). To avoid getting hit in the back with every small bump (which happens very quickly with the sitting position / body posture on the motorbike in conjunction with a bad shock absorber), you need to replace your shock absorber.
The shock absorber is supplied with ABE. It therefore does not have to be registered with the TÜV.

About the shock absorber
The Öhlins shock absorber is a high-quality separating piston damper and not an emulsion damper, as sold by some other manufacturers.The spring preload (which is of course adjusted to your weight) is infinitely adjustable via the thread.The rebound can be individually and very finely adjusted via the rotary wheel (clicks).
Shock absorber customised to you
Each Öhlins shock absorber is individually adjusted in-house to the rider's needs and weight and fitted with the appropriate setup.We have different spring rates available from Öhlins so that the shock absorber can be perfectly customised for you.

If you don't like the original silver fork feet on your Thruxton, you can simply have them coated black by us. Simply send the disassembled fork to us and you will get it back with black fork feet. If you can't dismantle it yourself, you can simply send the whole fork to us and we'll do it for you (extra charge).
It takes about 4 - 6 weeks to get the part back.
We always make the parts in black silk matt as standard. Several other colours are of course also possible on request.

According to the manufacturer, the shock absorber screws must be replaced after a change. The caps also give a much more harmonious finish to the shocks and the unsightly original screws disappear.
On the Thruxton, Speed Twin & Scrambler, only the two upper screws are replaced.

The rebound, compression and spring preload are fully adjustable. This rebound and compression stage is responsible for the spring out and compression speed.
