Unfortunately, the original Zard DB killers take some of the character out of the systems. The difference in sound compared to the standard system is often less than you would expect from an accessory system.
This is precisely why we have developed our Raisch Racing DB-Killer.
Thanks to the approx. 40 % larger outlet hole and the significantly shorter design, the Zard exhaust systems finally get the muffled, rich sound they deserve. At the same time, the higher flow rate also improves the performance of the system.
With our racing DB killers, you now have three different sound levels at your disposal:
- Original Zard DB-Killer = rather restrained sound
- Raisch Racing DB-Killer = throaty, rich sound with significantly more character
- Completely without DB-Killer = maximum volume
Visually, it still looks as if a normal DB-Killer has been installed - acoustically, however, the system plays in a different league without sounding too loud. You won't stand out in a negative way.
You get exactly the sound that most people are looking for: nice and muffled, not too loud, not too quiet.
Our Raisch DB killers fit all Zard exhaust systems listed under accessories as well as many other Zard systems for other motorbike models.
Dimensions of the outer ring: 50mm diameter - so you can easily measure whether the killer fits your exhaust.

Two beautiful top-mounted mufflers that are tapered and have a slanted end cap. Due to the slanted end caps, the exhaust opening looks particularly large and provides the cool megaphone look.In addition, the exhaust also impresses with its beautifully muffled and rich sound, as befits a 2-cylinder boxer.

If you want to convert your Scrambler to a nice rustic off-road bike, there's no way around the Flat-Track exhaust system!In addition to the look, the exhaust also impresses with its beautifully muffled and rich sound, as befits a 2-cylinder boxer.Of course, a 2-1 exhaust can never be quite as muffled as a 2-2 exhaust. But Zard has really got it right with this exhaust. However, if you want it to be muffled to the max, we recommend the Hardy or Thunderbolt exhaust.

Design & look
The two rear silencers are very close together and ensure the sleekest possible line.
The large openings of the slash cut end caps make the rear look much beefier and emphasise the off-road look of the Scrambler.
The original heat protection plate is retained.The accessory heat protection plate, which you can see in two product photos, can be found under the accessory items in this description.
Performance
The exhaust also delivers slightly more power than the standard version (see pictures for power curve).
Sound
The sound of the Scrambler is audibly throatier, but to our ears it falls short of the really big AHA effect.Sound video with original DB killers see below.
If you want a throatier and louder sound, you should also order the additional Zard Racing DB killers (see accessories - without road approval).
To remove the original DB killers, a welding point that is difficult to access must be drilled out and milled away (a little more than half an hour's work).If you want to have this done, order the additional item "DB-Killer removal Zard exhaust CB11514" (see accessories).
If that's not enough, you can also install an H-pipe (cat replacement pipe).

General description of the Zard exhaust system
The Zard Short and the Slim 2-2 rear silencers have a nice muffled and full sound.
The DB-Eater can be dismantled.
All materials necessary for assembly are included in the scope of delivery.
The EC-approved rear silencers have an engraved E-number and do not need to be entered in the vehicle documents.
The sound is simply awesome! See for yourself (see video at the end of the description. The video shows a 900cc T100)
Note on the DB killers (removal & racing DB killers)To remove the DB-killer on the exhaust system, a difficult to reach spot weld has to be drilled out and milled away. Zard Short complete system.
Perfect for a conversion in which the rear is shortened and the rear should be as clean as possible. This gives you a really nice free view of the rims.
The exhaust system is a complete system with manifolds. We supply manifold gaskets free of charge. The silencer have removable DB killer, which can be shortened if necessary, even if you want it a bit louder.
Normally, the exhaust system is delivered in stainless steel (untreated) optics (looks very fancy). Optionally, the system can also be ordered in brushed, polished or black (for the items in the accessories of this description with order). For the black coating we use an external company (do not order it directly from Zard, because we are absolutely not convinced of their coating).
Note on the Scrambler: To mount the exhaust system on a Scrambler, the original bracket of the side stand must be cut off.Note on the photos: The cropped photo and the one on the Bonneville T120 are for illustration purposes only (since the exhaust system on the T120 looks almost exactly the same).

Probably the shortest & legal exhaust you can buy for your modern classic Triumph. Handmade with E-number in Italy.
This exhaust system is ideal for any conversion where the rear area needs to be as clean as possible. This gives you a really nice clear view of the rim.
The exhaust system is a complete system with manifolds. We recommend ordering manifold gaskets separately (see accessories below the description).
Sound & DB-Killer
The Under Engine Exhaust is supplied with removable DB-Killer inserts. In other words, if the sound in the standard state is not enough for you, you can remove the killers or shorten them slightly.
The sound of the exhaust system is really sporty and throaty. When the killers are removed, the exhaust really sounds the alarm!
Carburettor / EFI
The carburettor version is supplied without a catalytic converter.The injection version has a KAT installed in the manifold.If you are looking for maximum performance with the EFI, we recommend the carburettor version (not legal then), but it will then be delivered with the E-number of the carburettor model.
Finish & colour
As standard, the exhaust is supplied in matt silver stainless steel. However, the exhaust can also be ordered in polished or black coated for an additional charge. If you are interested, please contact us personally.
Note on the Scrambler
In order to fit the exhaust system to a Scrambler, the original side stand bracket must be cut off. Additional mounting material is also required. Please contact us if you are interested.
