Zard Short stainless steel exhaust for Triumph Bobber & Speedmaster 1200 / with approval


Short: short design - this frees up the entire rear wheel on the Bobber.
The look changes significantly and appears even cleaner and more uncompromising.

Road approval

With E-number for Euro 4 & Euro 5 models.

Note Speedmaster 1200:
The system fits technically, but is not homologated for this model (but is supplied with the E-number for bobbers).
If you would like to know more about this, you are welcome to give us a call and we will find out more.

The exhaust is also available as a racing version (without E-number) which is significantly cheaper. If required, please contact us personally.

Sound

Nice muffled sound - see for yourself (video at the end of the description).

If that's not enough, you can:

  • remove the removable DB-killer or insert a racing DB-killer

  • install an X-pipe (cat replacement) - see accessories below this description

This gives you exactly the sound you want from a bobber.

DB-Killer removal:
To remove the DB-Killer, a welding point that is difficult to access must be drilled out and milled away.
If you would like us to do this for you, order the additional item "DB-Killer removal Zard exhaust CB11514" (see accessories).

Racing DB-killer:
We have developed special racing DB killers for this exhaust.
More sound than standard and also a little more power, as the original DB-killer damps very heavily.

Material & installation

The stainless steel slip-on exhausts from Zard are always of a very high quality and fit perfectly.
They are simply plug & play onto the original manifold. The conversion is completed in a good 20 minutes.

For Swiss customers, the exhausts can be supplied with a declaration of suitability.

DB-Killer Zard 400er extension CB11514 / RS0
To use the DB-Killer on the Zard exhaust system, a fine welding spot has to be drilled out and milled away. Afterwards the exhaust has to be reworked at the guide for the Segering.If you don't want to do this work yourself, you can order it here, then the exhaust will be delivered with easily removable DB-killers (by snap ring).

Unfortunately, the original Zard DB killers take some of the character out of the systems. The difference in sound compared to the standard system is often less than you would expect from an accessory system. This is precisely why we have developed our Raisch Racing DB-Killer. Thanks to the approx. 40 % larger outlet hole and the significantly shorter design, the Zard exhaust systems finally get the muffled, rich sound they deserve. At the same time, the higher flow rate also improves the performance of the system. With our racing DB killers, you now have three different sound levels at your disposal: Original Zard DB-Killer = rather restrained sound Raisch Racing DB-Killer = throaty, rich sound with significantly more character Completely without DB-Killer = maximum volume Visually, it still looks as if a normal DB-Killer has been installed - acoustically, however, the system plays in a different league without sounding too loud.
