Rear Light Kit – Tail Tidy for Triumph Modern Classics

Road legal

The rear light has an E-mark and is fully approved for use on public roads.
Registration? Not required.
On some models (as with almost all aftermarket rear units on the market), the number plate angle may be slightly steeper than 30°. The number plate bracket is made of aluminium and can be carefully bent into position.

Indicators – the choice is yours

Indicators are not included in the scope of delivery.
But that’s perfect, as it means you can create exactly the look you want:

  • classic style → Drops indicators

  • as discreet as possible → Pico indicators

  • or simply carry on using the original Triumph indicators

Everything is compatible.

Classic rear end without a rear mudguard

The Motone Tail Tidy is the neat solution if you want to remove the original rear mudguard but still want to keep a central rear light.

Rear light options

The kit is available with a choice of rear lights.
The classic par excellence:

  • GORT rear light – a slightly modern take on a classic Lucas rear light; tried and tested, timeless, and always a perfect fit

  • Eldorado rear light – a discreet, round rear light.

Individually adjustable 

You can easily adjust the position of the number plate (using the integrated slotted holes) to control how far it protrudes or is recessed.
You can also adjust the height of the rear light to position it as close as possible to any seat.

Turn signal holders: These must be ordered individually. You will find two different turn signal holders below the description.Turn signal holder Vario: The turn signals are attached directly to the license plate with the Vario turn signal holders (the turn signal holders can be adjusted in width so that each turn signal is in the perfect position for any license plate width).This version is legal and complies with the German Road Traffic Regulations (StvO). Turn signal holder for shock absorber:The turn signals are mounted on the strut from the inside using a mounting plate. When the ignition is off, you almost think there are no turn signals on the motorcycle (but you can see them well enough when they light up). However, this is not Stvo compliant because the turn signals are too far back. The rear sub-fairing (underside) provides good splash protection. LED license plate illumination with E-number is also included. A plug is also supplied that fits into the original wiring harness. This means that only the indicators, lights, etc. have to be crimped and can then be connected without having to change anything on the wiring harness.All other cables, plugs, screws, etc. needed for installation are of course also included.The license plate holder is small enough to accommodate any motorcycle license plate in the world and be completely covered. This is how clean and tidy a rear end can look if you do without the original rear mudguard.The licence plate sits as close as possible to the seat and the LED licence plate light (included in the scope of delivery) disappears neatly into the recess provided in the seat. Minimalist, unobtrusive and exactly what you would want on a modern custom rear end. Variable licence plate angle - 30° / splash guardThe Heck Weck kit is supplied with an adjustable licence plate holder. This ensures that the licence plate can always be set to the prescribed 30°.In everyday use, the licence plate can be positioned slightly steeper - which looks much better.For MOT or inspection purposes, the angle can be adjusted to the legally prescribed position in just a few seconds (see pictures).Stop nuts ensure that the angle does not change unintentionally while driving. The size of the licence plate is designed so that any size of licence plate in the world can be fitted without any problems. Rear conversion kit / short rear for Triumph Bonneville T100 / T120.Made in Germany Our HeckWeck kit gives your bike a really sporty & tidy rear end. The large original mudguard disappears and the rear is significantly shorter (looks particularly cool with short, narrow seat benches such as the Cool Seat or the Tamarit SIlverstone Seat).The kit is probably the most minimalist and cleanest Plug&Play rear end you can buy. Attention: If you have a StreetTwin or other flat seat on your Bonneville (e.g. our Cool Seat, the Tamarit Silverstone Seat or the flat Triumph accessory seat), you should choose the kit for the StreetTwin.
