The exhaust is not homologated for these models. In this case, it is supplied with an E number for the Speed Twin EU4.

Design & workmanship

High-quality stainless steel silencer in a classic conical shape.
Compared to the original, rather chunky silencers, the Zard silencers look much slimmer and fit snugly on the motorbike.

The ZARD GP exhaust is the right choice for those who want an even more minimalist and sportier look.

Performance

Compared to the standard version, the exhaust delivers slightly more power (see pictures for power curve).
If you want noticeably more power, you should go for our performance kits.

Sound - RACING DB Killer as an accessory option

The sound is audibly throatier and more present.
In our ears, however, the really big AHA effect is missing.

If you want a throatier and louder sound, you should also order the additional Zard Racing DB killers (see accessories - without road approval).
With the racing DB killers, the 1200cc engine gets the muffled, bassy sound you want.
Advantage: A DB-Killer remains installed, the bike is not excessively loud and everything looks original.

To remove the original DB-Killer, a welding point that is difficult to access must be drilled out and milled away (approx. 30 minutes' work).
If you would like to have this done by us, order the additional item "DB-Killer removal Zard exhaust CB11514" (see accessories).

If that's not enough, you can also install an X-pipe (cat replacement pipe) (see accessories).

  • Racing version without E-number - cannot be ordered in the shop. These exhausts are a good deal cheaper and can be ordered on request.

Zard racing DB-Killer
Zard racing DB-Killer CB11523 / RS1
Raisch racing DB Killer for Zard short exhaust systems. More sound + more performance through more throughput. Approx. 40% larger hole. With our DB Killer there are now 3 sound variants available for the Zard systems. With original DB Killer, with Raisch DB Killer or without. Our DB killers are without ABE. They are supplied in pairs.To be honest, with the original DB-killers you only get a very small sound compared to the standard version. Since most of them do not want to drive without DB-killers, we have made this more open variant. It looks like you have a legal DB-killer in it, but it sounds really good! With these db-killers the Zard systems get the sound they need.

X-Pipe / KAT & Front silencer replacement
X-Pipe / KAT & Front silencer replacement CB11302 / RS0
These X-Pipes replace the original Cat-Box / front silencer, which provides a much more pithy sound. In combination with an additional open exhaust system you get a really pithy, dull but also loud sound. That's exactly how a 2 cylinder must sound!In addition, there is a weight saving of 1.7 kg compared to the standard catbox. If the X-Pipe is not only about the more beautiful and louder sound, but also about noticeably more power, we advise you to use one of our power kits, in which the X-Pipe is included. Then the whole thing brings also a strongly noticeable performance gain. Click here for our performance kits. The original veneer can be used again, so that the X-Pipe is not optically noticeable.  Do NOT fit to Thruxton TFC!

DB-Killer Zard 400er extension CB11514 / RS0
To use the DB-Killer on the Zard exhaust system, a fine welding spot has to be drilled out and milled away. Afterwards the exhaust has to be reworked at the guide for the Segering.If you don't want to do this work yourself, you can order it here, then the exhaust will be delivered with easily removable DB-killers (by snap ring).
