Zard 2-2 Slip On Stainless Steel Exhaust

for Triumph Speed Twin & Thruxton 1200

ATTENTION
For Thruxton 1200 & Speed Twin Euro 5 models from 2021 WITHOUT ABE.

Suitable for:

  • Triumph Speed Twin 1200

  • Triumph Thruxton 1200

The exhaust system is with E-number.
Racing version (without E-number and cheaper) available on request.

Design & look

Very high-quality stainless steel silencers - really short and crisp.
Visually, they are somewhat reminiscent of a Moto GP exhaust.

The short design perfectly emphasises the sporty lines of Speed Twin & Thruxton.
The chunky original exhaust, on the other hand, is always a bit distracting.

If the whole thing is too small and too sporty for you, the Zard Conical is the better choice.

Sound

The sound is audibly throatier and more present, but to our ears it falls short of the really big AHA effect.

If you want a throatier and louder sound, you should also order the additional Zard Racing DB killers (see accessories - without road approval).

With the racing DB killers, the 1200cc engine gets the throaty, muffled bass sound you want.
Advantage: A DB-Killer remains installed, the bike is not excessively loud and everything looks original.

To remove the original DB-Killer, a hard-to-reach welding point has to be drilled out and milled away (a little more than half an hour's work).
If you want to have this done by us, order the additional item "DB-Killer removal Zard exhaust CB11514" (see accessories).

If that's not enough, fit the X-pipe (cat replacement pipe) - see accessories.

Black version

The exhaust is not directly available from Zard in black.
At the customer's request, we have the system coated in black in Germany - very high quality, resistant and deep black.

Swiss customer / authorisation

For Swiss customers, the exhausts can be supplied with a declaration of suitability.

Unfortunately, the original Zard DB killers take some of the character out of the systems. The difference in sound compared to the standard system is often less than you would expect from an accessory system. This is precisely why we have developed our Raisch Racing DB-Killer. Thanks to the approx. 40 % larger outlet hole and the significantly shorter design, the Zard exhaust systems finally get the muffled, rich sound they deserve. At the same time, the higher flow rate also improves the performance of the system. With our racing DB killers, you now have three different sound levels at your disposal: Original Zard DB-Killer = rather restrained sound Raisch Racing DB-Killer = throaty, rich sound with significantly more character Completely without DB-Killer = maximum volume Visually, it still looks as if a normal DB-Killer has been installed - acoustically, however, the system plays in a different league without sounding too loud. X-Pipe / KAT & Front silencer replacement
X-Pipe / KAT & Front silencer replacement CB11302 / RS0
These X-Pipes replace the original Cat-Box / front silencer, which provides a much more pithy sound. In combination with an additional open exhaust system you get a really pithy, dull but also loud sound. That's exactly how a 2 cylinder must sound!In addition, there is a weight saving of 1.7 kg compared to the standard catbox. If the X-Pipe is not only about the more beautiful and louder sound, but also about noticeably more power, we advise you to use one of our power kits, in which the X-Pipe is included. Then the whole thing brings also a strongly noticeable performance gain. Click here for our performance kits. The original veneer can be used again, so that the X-Pipe is not optically noticeable.  Do NOT fit to Thruxton TFC!

DB-Killer Zard 400er extension CB11514 / RS0
To use the DB-Killer on the Zard exhaust system, a fine welding spot has to be drilled out and milled away. Afterwards the exhaust has to be reworked at the guide for the Segering.If you don't want to do this work yourself, you can order it here, then the exhaust will be delivered with easily removable DB-killers (by snap ring).
