Product information "Rear Fender Kit - Bobber - Flashed"

A shorter fender? The flashed fender kit from KRT Framework for the Triumph Bobber perfectly combines functionality and aesthetics. A clean fender without a central bead, designed significantly shorter than the original.
Unlike the original fender and most other accessory fenders, the flashed fender still has a flare on the side, which underpins a classic chopper handle.

Indicators and rear lights are also reduced to a minimum and integrated into the fender struts. Even if you don't notice them at first glance, you can't miss them in action thanks to modern SMD LED technology. Equipped with an E-mark and arranged in such a way that they meet all StVo requirements, you can mount this fender kit in the reassuring knowledge that you are 100% legal on the road.

The kit is manufactured entirely in Germany.

 

Materials used and production method:

The fenders are made from the finest carbon. The material is placed by hand in a negative mold and then baked under vacuum and heat. This process makes it possible to produce lightweight and extremely accurately fitting parts. Only high-quality components are used for the materials, including fibers and resins, which are also used for the production of rotor blades.

The mounting system, which is connected to the mudguard, is made of laser-cut and folded aluminum. After machining, it is powder-coated black. These brackets are designed so that you can adjust the height of the fender in relation to the tire. The fender struts themselves are made of steel to make them visually slim yet stable. A slotted hole is incorporated in the lower mounting for height adjustment.

The turn signal cable exits from the bottom of the fender struts and can be routed directly behind the swingarm tube to enable inconspicuous routing.

Our friend Marvin (KRT) carries out all the work steps himself, from mold construction to carbon production and metalwork.

Versions and their finishes:

The Flashed fender is available in a visible carbon version, for which we use a carbon canvas fabric that is also used by Ducati and Porsche. On request, owners of a Bobber TFC can obtain a special version in which we use a twill weave. The matt finish visually matches the original carbon parts of the TFC. However, as the TFC is limited, this part is only produced on request.

We also offer two ready-painted versions: one in gloss black and one in matt black. Both match the original colors. For those looking for individual color options, an unpainted RAW version is available. This is primed and optimally prepared for a custom paint job by your painter.

 

The wiring:

For many, wiring is a vexing issue and probably the most time-consuming element of converting to the mudguard kit. Without high-quality electronic tools, the whole thing can hardly be carried out professionally. But we also have a plug & play solution for this in our range.

The fender struts with integrated lighting are already pre-wired and equipped with a high-quality 4-pin plug on each side. This plug is molded directly onto the end of the cable and sealed watertight thanks to the IP66 protection class. This is particularly important in the swingarm area, where the plug can get a lot of moisture.

We have assembled a pre-wired cable harness for the rear for this plug. With this, the mudguard can be easily fitted plug & play.
A little tip: If you order a KRT license plate holder at the same time, the license plate light will be supplied with the matching plug for our wiring harness (please contact us personally after ordering). This means you don't have to bother with individual cables during the conversion, but can plug our cable set directly into the original 8-pin plug of the original wiring harness.

However, if you prefer to take care of the wiring yourself, we have deliberately left the cables of the fender struts long enough so that you can remove the plugs and connect the electrics yourself.

 

Accessories and combinable products:

To get the perfect overall look, your bobber naturally needs a side license plate holder.
There are several options to choose from (all of them fit in our range). However, we would recommend the one from KRT in order to have a complete package from KRT (can be found under accessories in this product description).
